Digital Photography Class [Midlothian VA Photographer]

Off to a good start. Here is week one of our Intro to Digital Photography fall 2011 class. What a good time: photographers in the making!  More photos to come next week!

Digging, digging, digging the beautiful sky!

Umm, Gertrude?  Yeah, she was hanging out where we were looking for something interesting to shoot. One of the girls spotted this spider and it quickly became the center of attention. It and its lunch-whatever that is, she was enjoying it. Blech!
(Anyone know what kind of spider it is?)
 Working, learning, shooting!
These girls rock! Not only was it the first time most of them used a camera on any manual settings, it was the first time meeting me and one another. I look so forward to our next class. Great job, Ladies!
Learning to adjust the shutter speed and  helping the snowman get to the flowers before he melts. Better hurry, he's looking a little slow (SLOW) here!

How to take great children's photos [Midlothian VA Children's Photographer]

Or maybe not. A reason I love to photograph all the {other} children of Central Virginia!

This is me and my #2 miracle [Richmond Central Va Photographer]

What did I ever do without my iphone? Thank you for these snaps. Here's a rare look at me (hopefully rectifying that soon enough) and one of the joys of my life. Thing 2 was a deep seeded prayer request for almost 10 years. I'm so thankful for him every day and as cliche' as it may be, I simply can not begin to imagine life without him. He's truly One in a Million!
